Graduated in 2013, from NIFT, Praveen Bachan’s work speaks of various experiments in techniques and weaves. During his internship under Samant Chauhan in 2012, he got a chance to work closely with the traditional weavers in Chanderi. It was largely an attempt to successfully produce a high-quality textile by inter-weaving Chanderi cotton-silk yarn and Merino wool together for Samant Chauhan’s collection to be showcased in the International Woolmark Prize Award 2012.

Thereafter, he gained Job Experience as an assistant designer for Samant Chauhan's collections, 'Rajputana Tribes' SS'13 and Rajputana Journey, A/W'14.

His interest towards inspirational garments led him to join hands with Mahoba in early 2015. Quirky yes, but his ability to incorporate the very essence of the traditionalism in the core of creativity makes him a versatile designer that he already is. At Mahoba, he continued to create inspirational garments; based on the depiction of both nature and tribal art. Throwing light on his future endeavour comes Praveen’s spontaneous reply, “I like fabric manipulation and hence, create textures on fabric using traditional and modern techniques to achieve an innovative look.” Furthermore, he worked for 4 years with designers, Bharat & Reshma as their Head of Creative, Menswear division. His future vision also breathes innovation and ingenuity as he affirms, “I will work on different types of craft and culture to create inspirational garments.”
